Como se preparan para el evento?
Como organizadores y participantes del Pink Polo en Costa Rica, nos aseguramos de que todos los aspectos logísticos estén en orden. La comunicación también juega un papel fundamental, así que mantenemos una comunicacion activa con las demás participantes, con el club de polo, patrocinadores y colaboradores. De la misma manera, nos preparamos mentalmente, estableciendo metas claras y visualizando el éxito del evento. La preparación para un evento como este requiere un equilibrio entre la preparación física, la logística eficiente y una mentalidad positiva y enfocada.
Cuan importante es poder apoyar al polo femenino en Costa Rica?
El apoyo al polo femenino es crucial para promover la igualdad de género, empoderar a las mujeres y mejorar su salud. A nivel económico, potencia la creación de empleos y oportunidades de negocio. Además, las atletas femeninas sirven como modelos a seguir, inspirando a otras mujeres y niñas a superar obstáculos y alcanzar sus metas. Finalmente, la visibilidad que se logra al apoyar el deporte femenino desafía y cambia estereotipos de género.
Como se viene la temporada 2024?
En Costa Rica el polo en general esta creciendo año a año, para esta temporada en el club Los Reyes se propusieron una serie de torneos para elevar no solo el nivel de nuestros jugadres si no también la visibilidad del deporte. Este año se realizo una gran inversión en las canchas, lo que lleva también a una mejora en el juego. De esta forma buscamos seguir creciendo y así poner a Costa Rica en el mapa de el polo en America Central.

“In Costa Rica, the Polo continues to grow year by year”
At PoloHUB we spoke with Ignacio Maldonado on the eve of one of the great events of the Costa Rica Polo Experience.
How do you prepare for the event?
As organizers and participants of Pink Polo in Costa Rica, we make sure that all logistical aspects are in order. Communication also plays a fundamental role, so we maintain active communication with the other participants, with the polo club, sponsors and collaborators. In the same way, we prepare mentally, setting clear goals and visualizing the success of the event. Preparing for an event like this requires a balance between physical preparation, efficient logistics and a positive and focused mentality.
How important is it to be able to support the women’s pole in Costa Rica?
Support for the women’s pole is crucial to promote gender equality, empower women and improve their health. At the economic level, it enhances the creation of jobs and business opportunities. In addition, female athletes serve as role models, inspiring other women and girls to overcome obstacles and reach their goals. Finally, the visibility that is achieved by supporting women’s sport challenges and changes gender stereotypes.
How is the 2024 season coming?
In Costa Rica the polo in general is growing year by year, for this season at the Los Reyes club a series of tournaments were proposed to raise not only the level of our players but also the visibility of the sport. This year a large investment was made in the courts, which also leads to an improvement in the game. In this way we seek to continue growing and thus put Costa Rica on the map of the pole in Central America.
