Preparativos para la Temporada de Polo
Miguel Morel se está preparando intensamente para la temporada de polo de este año, enfocándose en aumentar su cantidad de caballos tanto en la República Dominicana como en el Reino Unido. “El juego siempre comienza y termina con los caballos”, afirma Miguel, destacando la importancia de estos animales en su entrenamiento. Además, se dedica a practicar en Punta Cana para estar en su mejor forma.
Experiencia en el Torneo de AlUla Desert Polo
Participar en el torneo de polo en el desierto de AlUla fue una experiencia mágica para Miguel. “El paisaje natural y la belleza del entorno, la hospitalidad de los anfitriones y, por supuesto, las personas y jugadores involucrados fueron excepcionales,” comparte. Miguel expresa su deseo de participar nuevamente en este evento en el futuro.
Inicios en el Polo
Miguel comenzó a jugar polo en 2022, inspirado tras ver partidos en Casa de Campo, República Dominicana. “Todo sobre este deporte me pareció emocionante e interesante,” recuerda. De regreso en el Reino Unido, Miguel empezó a tomar clases en el Ham Polo Club y continuó su entrenamiento en la Guards Polo Academy.
Sueños y Aspiraciones en el Polo
Como muchos jugadores, el sueño de Miguel en el mundo del polo es construir una organización memorable y digna de reconocimiento por muchos años. “Me enfoco menos en ganar torneos específicos; creo que primero hay que construir una gran organización y lo demás vendrá naturalmente,” reflexiona Miguel, mostrando su visión a largo plazo en el deporte.

Preparations for the Polo Season
Miguel Morel is intensively preparing for this year’s polo season, focusing on increasing his number of horses both in the Dominican Republic and the United Kingdom. “The game always starts and ends with the horses,” Miguel affirms, highlighting the importance of these animals in his training. Additionally, he is practicing as much as possible in Punta Cana to be in top form.
Experience at the AlUla Desert Polo Tournament
Participating in the AlUla Desert Polo tournament was a magical experience for Miguel. “The natural landscape and the beauty of the surroundings, the hospitality of the hosts, and of course, the exceptional people and players involved,” he shares. Miguel expresses his desire to participate in this event again in the future.
Beginnings in Polo
Miguel started playing polo in 2022 after watching matches in Casa de Campo, Dominican Republic. “Everything about this sport seemed exciting and interesting to me,” he recalls. Upon returning to the United Kingdom, Miguel immediately started taking classes at the Ham Polo Club before being introduced to the Guards Polo Academy, where he continued his journey.
Dreams and Aspirations in Polo
Like many players, Miguel’s dream in the polo world is to build a memorable and recognized organization for many years. “I focus less on winning specific tournaments; I believe that first, you have to build a great organization, and the rest will come naturally,” Miguel reflects, showing his long-term vision in the sport.
