Rafi Brukner and the Phoenician Cup Challenge with Cool Hoves

The world of polo is brimming with passion, strategy, and intense dedication. Rafi Brukner, a talented player for the Cool Hoves team, embodies these principles as he prepares and competes in the prestigious Phoenician Cup at Guards.

His insights offer a valuable glimpse into the heart of a high-performing athlete.
The Honor of Competing at Guards
For Brukner, participating in such a competitive tournament at Guards is, above all, an honor.

“For me, it’s an honor to be able to play at Guards in such a competitive tournament,” he states. Beyond the demanding level of play, he highlights a crucial factor for the team’s enjoyment and performance: camaraderie.

“And because all the team are very good friends, it makes it even more enjoyable,” he adds, underscoring the importance of cohesion and mutual support within Cool Hoves.
A Holistic Preparation for Success
Polo, a sport that demands both physical endurance and mental sharpness, requires meticulous preparation. Rafi reveals his comprehensive approach: “For me, it’s important to eat well, train and stretch everyday.” But his routine goes beyond the physical; he incorporates essential elements for recovery and mental well-being.

“I also do sports physio and psychology to help with recovery and help to mentally prepare for games,” he explains. This multifaceted discipline is key to staying in optimal condition in such a demanding sport.
Looking Towards the Knockout Stages
With his sights set on the future of the Phoenician Cup, Brukner is full of anticipation. He recognizes the magnitude of the challenge, especially in a league where competitiveness is the norm.

“I am looking forward to playing all of the teams in our league because they’re all extremely competitive,” he comments. A fighting mentality is evident in his words: “And we will have to fight against all of them to go through to the knockout stages.” This statement not only shows his respect for the opponents but also his own and his team’s determination to overcome every obstacle.
Rafi Brukner and the Cool Hoves team are ready to make their mark on the Phoenician Cup. With a strong foundation of friendship, rigorous preparation, and an unyielding mindset, they promise to deliver an exciting polo spectacle in every match. The polo community eagerly awaits their performance in the upcoming stages of the tournament.
