Argentina and the United States claimed big debut wins on the first day of action of the II FIP Arena Polo World Championship, that’s underway in Virginia, in the United States. Both matches took place at the Virginia Polo Inc. on Sunday October 5.
The first contest saw Argentina earning an impressive 19-9 victory over title holders, France; in the follow-up, United States earned another heavy win, against Guatemala, by a 20-24 score.
The II FIP Arena Polo World Championship will resume on Tuesday October 7, and the schedule is the following:
2pm: France vs. Pakistan4,30pm: Guatemala vs. Italy
Venue: Roseland Polo Club, Virginia.
