El domingo 4 de septiembre arrancó oficialmente la temporada de polo en Argentina, con la final del 54 Abierto del Club Hípico Militar San Jorge por el Trofeo Duque de Edimburgo, que disputaron Ellerstina Pilot y Martindale, en una jornada a puro sol y frente a una enorme cantidad de público para ver en la cancha 2 de Palermo el encuentro, que además tuvo el retorno de Nicolás Pieres al alto handicap argentino, tras la lesión que sufriera en el 2021, durante el Abierto de Hurlingham.
