Emotiva Despedida a Patrick Guerrand-Hermès en Chantilly

Se rindió un emotivo homenaje a Patrick Guerrand-Hermès, fundador de nuestro club, en presencia de su familia y amigos. Más de 250 caballos, acompañados de sus cuidadores, se reunieron en su terreno Honneur 1, formando las letras “PGH”. Esta conmovedora parada fue seguida de un partido en el que sus nietos, Slava y Lucien, jugaron junto a jugadores y amigos cercanos de su abuelo.

La velada concluyó con un momento de recogimiento, acompañado de los aplausos de todos y el sonido de las trompas de caza en honor a su memoria. Este homenaje fue un tributo a la persona sin la cual el polo francés no sería lo que es hoy, gracias a los sueños, la energía y la gran generosidad de Patrick, quien hizo brillar nuestro deporte y nuestro club en todo el mundo

Patrick Guerrand-Hermès, un visionario y apasionado del polo, dejó una huella imborrable en el mundo ecuestre. Su dedicación y amor por el deporte transformaron el Polo Club du Domaine de Chantilly en uno de los clubes más prestigiosos de Europa¹. Su legado perdurará en cada partido y en cada caballo que galopa en los terrenos que él ayudó a desarrollar.


Emotional Farewell to Patrick Guerrand-Hermès in Chantilly

Last night, a heartfelt tribute was paid to Patrick Guerrand-Hermès, the founder of our club, in the presence of his family and friends. Over 250 horses, accompanied by their grooms, gathered on his Honneur 1 field, forming the letters “PGH”. This moving parade was followed by a match during which his grandchildren, Slava and Lucien, played alongside players and close friends of their grandfather.

The evening concluded with a moment of reflection, accompanied by applause from everyone and the sound of hunting horns in honor of his memory. This tribute was a poignant acknowledgment of the man without whom French polo would not be what it is today, thanks to Patrick’s dreams, energy, and immense generosity, which have made our sport and our club shine worldwide.

Patrick Guerrand-Hermès, a visionary and polo enthusiast, left an indelible mark on the equestrian world. His dedication and love for the sport transformed the Polo Club du Domaine de Chantilly into one of the most prestigious clubs in Europe. His legacy will endure in every match and every horse that gallops on the fields he helped develop.
