Today, May 3rd, the international delegation arrived in Rabat, Morocco, marking the start of a new edition of the Mohammed VI International Polo Trophy, one of the most important events on the global polo calendar. Tomorrow morning, the official presentation will take place at the Royal Guard Polo Club, where authorities, special guests, and the participating teams will gather for the opening ceremony.
The presentation will set the tone for a full week of international competition. Immediately after, the inaugural match will be played, bringing together players from several nations and officially launching the sixth edition of the tournament.
This year’s lineup reflects the expanding global reach of the event. Morocco, as the host nation, once again takes center stage. Hungary and Portugal will make their debut in the tournament, joining three returning teams with previous experience in the competition: the United States, France, and Saudi Arabia. All arrive with strong expectations and competitive lineups.
After the opening ceremony and the first match, the entire delegation will travel to Assilah, where the tournament will continue at the PGH Polo Club La Palmeraie. The main stages of the championship will unfold there, in a setting that blends equestrian tradition, modern facilities, and a unique atmosphere for international polo.
The sixth edition of the Mohammed VI International Polo Trophy promises a week of sport, culture, and international exchange, reinforcing Morocco’s role as a rising hub for the global development of polo.
