Punta del Este is part of a new private residential development at the boutique Fasano Las Piedras hotel and 1,186-acre luxury wellness resort and nature preserve at the southern tip of Uruguay.
The Isay Weinfeld-designed hotel and resort, which opened in 2010, offers a wide range of luxury amenities, including a golf course designed by Arnold Palmer, a private airport, a beach club, a spa, and an equestrian center and polo club by polo star Nacho Figueras.

“The level and amount of amenities and services are really unparalleled,” said listing agent Erin Boisson Aries, of Douglas Elliman.
“From the striking architecture carved into the Uruguayan landscape to the restaurants to the service—every detail is perfect,” said Ms. Aries, who visited the hotel in November. “I’m torn between my desire to escape here secretly on my own and also invite everyone I know.”
There are 150 lots that will be developed, including about 17 so-called Polo Houses, of which this unbuilt residence is one, that are designed by Mr. Figueras in partnership with the Uruguayan architect Carolina Proto of Obra Prima Studio, Ms. Aries said.

Amenities
The residence will feature a sweeping wraparound terrace with a covered dining area, a barbecue pit, a private pool and a staff room.
Hotel and resort amenities include an 18-hole Arnold Palmer-designed golf course, a Nacho Figueras-designed polo course, an equestrian center, restaurants, swimming pools, a spa, a children’s club, tennis courts, organic gardens and a river club with 150 meters of private beach.

Neighborhood Notes
The resort has its own private airport and it’s about a 90-minute drive from Montevideo Carrasco International Airport, Ms. Aries said.
It’s about a 20-minute drive to Punta del Este, she said.
