– Elite polo tournament promises an unforgettable luxury lifestyle experience for style-savvy visitors at Mohammed Yousuf Naghi Equestrian Village

The world’s premier desert polo tournament, AlUla Desert Polo, makes its highly anticipated return to the breathtaking landscapes of AlUla on 16–17 January 2026, offering an elegant celebration of art, culture, and sport.

As a marquee event within the AlUla Moments 2025/26 calendar, the exclusive spectacle blends world-class polo with high fashion, cultural heritage, and the unmatched natural beauty of the terrain. Organized by the Royal Commission for AlUla, the tournament continues to solidify AlUla’s reputation as a global hub for luxury lifestyle experiences and premium sports tourism.

Set among towering sandstone canyons at the Mohammed Yousuf Naghi Equestrian Village, AlUla Desert Polo provides a sophisticated setting where elite sport meets high-end hospitality. The event attracts a style-savvy crowd eager to experience the unique combination of horsemanship and Saudi Arabian culture.

Beyond the competitive action on the pitch, AlUla Desert Polo offers a comprehensive lifestyle experience featuring gourmet dining, immersive entertainment, and shaded lounge areas for relaxation. The atmosphere is further enriched by pop-up retail stores, local crafts, and interactive installations that engage the senses.

Ziad AlSuhaibani, Chief Sports Officer at the Royal Commission for AlUla, emphasized the event’s significance:

“As the world’s first organized desert polo event, held in an unforgettable setting, AlUla Desert Polo has quickly become iconic. It encapsulates elegance, elite sport, culture, and fashion, offering an experience unlike anything else.”

Tickets are now available, with single-day passes starting at SAR 380 and two-day passes at SAR 570 via the official app. For those seeking an enhanced experience, the Polo Players Circle add-on includes Premium Pass benefits plus guided field access, player meet-and-greets, photo opportunities, and exclusive souvenirs.

Since its debut in 2020, AlUla Desert Polo has grown into an annual highlight of the AlUla Moments calendar—a year-round schedule of events celebrating sports, culture, arts, discovery, and heritage. Other upcoming sports events include the AlUla Trail Race (22–23 Jan 2026), the AlUla Tour cycling event (27–31 Jan 2026), and AlFursan Endurance AlUla (7–8 Feb 2026), one of the most prestigious endurance horse races in the region.
