At Polo HUB we talk to Matias Ballesteros at the beginning of a new season of English Polo.
“We are full with the new teams of Four Quartes Black and Four Quarters Orange, because we played in the 15 and 18 goals, we play all the main cups,” Ballesteros said.
He also added that: “In Emsworth we are going to have the Winkfield Cup of 12 goals in June and the Gold Cup 12 goals in July with good sponsors and a great summer party for the day of the final.”
Regarding the growth of the Polo in the UK he told us that: “It is impressive, with many very competitive teams and every year more difficult to win a cup.”
He also added that: “There are very good horses and very good new players playing the medium and high handicap.”
Regarding what would be missing at present, he commented that: “There should be a little more low goal Polo, which are the roots from where the patterns start.”
Emsworth Polo Club is a prestigious polo club located in the United Kingdom, in Berkshire, and covers 72 acres. The club has more than 120 horses, acquired in Argentina through Matias Ballesteros, who has been fundamental in the history of polo within the club.

Con respecto al crecimiento del Polo en UK nos dijo que: “Es impresionante, con muchisimos equipos muy competitivos y cada año mas dificil de ganar una copa”.
Además agregó que: “Hay muy buenos caballos y muy buenos nuevos jugadores jugando el mediano y el alto handicap”.
Con respecto a lo que faltaría en la actualidad comentó que: “Debería haber un poco más de low goal Polo, que son las raices de donde arrancan los patrones”.
