Polo continues to flourish in Morocco. From July 21 to 27, the country will host the third edition of the Coupe du Trône de Polo, a tournament that has become a symbol of growth and sporting elegance across the region. The event will take place across two distinguished venues: the Polo Club of the Royal Guard in Rabat and PGH Polo Club La Palmeraie in Assilah.
Organized by the Royal Moroccan Polo Federation and held under the patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, the tournament brings together six competitive teams. The qualifying rounds will unfold in the picturesque setting of La Palmeraie, while Rabat will host the highly anticipated final.

The Coupe du Trône was inaugurated in 2022, with the Royal Guard team claiming the title after defeating PGH La Palmeraie 5–0. In the second edition, held the following year, the same finalists faced off once again—this time with PGH La Palmeraie securing a dramatic 6–5 victory.
This event rounds out the Federation’s annual calendar, which earlier in May featured the successful Mohammed VI International Trophy. That tournament saw Morocco lift the trophy after an impressive final against Egypt.
With top-tier competition, stunning venues and a growing national passion for polo, the Coupe du Trône continues to cement Morocco’s place on the international polo map.
