El Roma Polo Club tiene más de setenta años de vida, originalmente tenía a su disposición los terrenos del Hipódromo de Villa Glori, concedidos en uso por la sociedad corsa al trotte, ubicados en las laderas de la colina donde se levantaba el lujoso barrio de los montes Parioli. Los partidos ya registraban un enorme éxito público en ese momento, confirmando una combinación eficaz entre el deporte y la mundanidad.
El Roma Polo Club es el más antiguo de los Círculos italianos fundado en los años 30.
