Murus Sanctus and La Magdeleine qualified as Queen’s Cup finalists, after beating King Power and UAE Polo, respectively, in the semifinals that took place at Guards Polo Club, in Windsor Great Park, England, on Wednesday June 14. The 2023 edition of the Queen’s Cup, has the presence of seventeen teams with up to 22 handicap goals.

In this way, next Sunday June 18, there will be a final between two French organizations, on the one hand Corinne Ricard and Murus Sanctus, and on the other Alexandre Garese and La Magdeleine.

Murus Sanctus and King Power opened fire at noon, at The Prince’s Ground, in a match that the team in the blue jersey dominated from the start, and with a completely on fire Polito Pieres, author of 5 goals. It was a 10-7 victory for Corinne Ricard’s quartet, which thus reached the final undefeated.

Later, and in a completely different story, La Magdeleine turned the game around in the last chukker, beating UAE Polo 9-8. It was a highly fought and disputed match, with both teams exchanging leadership, although the differences did not go beyond two goals. Alexandre Garese’s team, coached by Pepe Heguy, went into the last chukka down 6-7, but took first place in a vibrant last chukka, to win by the minimum, and obtain the second ticket to the final.
