Founder Louise Butcher’s journey began when her own horse suffered scars from protective boots due to sweat.
Determined to create a solution, she developed the first prototype. A British polo player discovered them, and soon after, Jorge MacDonough—a passionate advocate for horse welfare—joined forces with Louise. Together, they designed the boots we have today, honoring Jorge’s legacy with the “Irenita” name and logo.
How Do HUSK Boots Protect?
- Material: HUSK boots use a 3D impact-dissipating material similar to that found in bulletproof vests and riding helmets. This flexible honeycomb cage compresses upon impact, minimizing damage.
- Cooling: The honeycomb-like structure allows hot air to escape while cool air circulates within the boot, maintaining a comfortable atmospheric temperature.
- Hygienic and Quick-Drying: HUSK boots are easy to clean, quick to dry, and hygienic—essential for your horse’s well-being.
