The World Polo League continues to elevate its prominence in the polo world, and 2025 is shaping up to be another remarkable year. We had the opportunity to speak with Grant Ganzi, a key player in the league, to hear his thoughts on the current season and what lies ahead for him in the sport.

On the Growth of the World Polo League
Grant expressed his satisfaction with how the league has evolved over the years:
“I’m very happy with the level of competitiveness of the World Polo League. I think the first two tournaments have been successful so far! I also love the flexibility the World Polo League gives me to balance polo and personal life.”

The addition of new teams and the rising quality of play continue to make the league a dynamic and thrilling platform for players and fans alike.

Preparation and Goals for 2025
As one of the league’s standout players, Grant shared how he gets ready for such a demanding season:
“I usually prepare by playing even higher goal practices and getting my horses to the best shape possible. With regards to my horses, I’m very fortunate to have my groom Roque, who is instrumental in having my horses in top shape.”

When it comes to personal objectives, Grant takes a balanced approach:
“My goals are to continue improving and learning as much as possible! I would typically say winning, but I would rather have fun and enjoy my time playing.”

Looking Ahead: Future Plans and Initiatives
Grant’s passion for the sport extends beyond the field. He spoke about his upcoming plans for the year:
“My future plans are to play the spring season in Wellington at Grand Champions Polo Club and the summer season in Aspen at the Aspen Valley Polo Club.”

In addition, Grant highlighted his involvement in charitable initiatives:
“I have my charity event coming up on March 21st. I am on the board with my two close friends Nic Roldan and Natascha Baecher. This grows awareness of the sport and also raises funds for two local Wellington charities: the Polo Training Foundation and Kids Cancer Foundation.”

With his dedication to improving his game, his commitment to promoting polo globally, and his charitable endeavors, Grant Ganzi continues to be a remarkable ambassador for the sport. The 2025 World Polo League season, under his influence, is sure to be one to remember.
