Ghantoot Horse Racing and Polo Club celebrated the “Moroccans of the World Polo” team, which is currently visiting the country at the invitation of His Highness Sheikh Falah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the Club, and with the support of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, in a festival held at the Sultan Bin Zayed Polo Stadium within the framework of relations between the youth of the two countries. Ghantoot previously participated in the Mohammed VI International Polo Championship last year.
Ghantoot succeeded in defeating the Moroccans of the world with a score of 6 to 2 and a half goals, in the exhibition match, which was held between them at the end of the festival, which included a diverse program of events, most notably a demonstration match for the talent skills of Yassel Academy and the Future Champions Football Academy, and a match between the future youth from Dubai Polo Club, in addition to entertainment segments, and a police dog show from Abu Dhabi Police.
the roster of the Ghantoot team included Youssef Bin Dasmal, Khaled Bin Dari, Muhammad Bin Dari, and Nasser Al Shamsi, while Karim Drif, Hicham Zine, Mohamed Hachhach , and lias benmergui played for the “Moroccans of the World Polo” team.
The festival was attended by Ahmed Tazi, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco to UAE, Saeed bin Houfan Al-Mansouri, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Ghantoot Club, Saleh Mohamed Al Geziry, Director General Tourism Sector at Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi), and Ali Huwail, representative of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council.
The match was also attended by Rabii BENADADA, founder of “Moroccans of the World polo team “and representative of the Moroccan Polo Federation, Mohammad Al Huraiz , Secretary-General of the UAE Polo Federation, Dr. Saif Al-Zaabi, member of the Federation’s Board of Directors, Mohammed Al-Kaabi, representative of the General Authority for Sports, and Khaled Saeed Al-Marzouqi, Managing Directorof Ghantoot Club, where the two teams were honored, shields and souvenirs were exchanged, and 100 prizes were drawn for the public.
